BlackRidge Named 2020 TAG Cyber Distinguished Vendor

TAG Cyber Distinguished Vendor

By Mike Miracle, senior vice president marketing and strategy

We are delighted that BlackRidge has been selected as a distinguished vendor in the 2020 TAG Cyber Security Annual. Now in its fourth year, this annual publication provides expert guidance, analysis and education on 50 different aspects of the cybersecurity management that form the underlying basis for their industry research and advisory work at TAG Cyber. This is the third year that we have been selected as a distinguished vendor that also includes an interview of our CTO John Hayes.

TAG Cyber is a New York-based industry research and advisory firm lead by Dr. Edward Amoroso and focused on democratizing cybersecurity research and advisory materials. Their research and publications may be freely reproduced, quoted, distributed, or transmitted without need to request permission. We are pleased to support TAG Cyber in their mission to provide valuable and easily accessible enterprise cyber security research and expert cyber security analysis to our industry.

TAG Cyber selects their distinguished vendors each year starting with manual research of about 1700 security vendors. Ed and his team meet with over 500 of these vendors, down select and write articles on about 150 of them, and then select 50 vendors to become a TAG Cyber Distinguished Vendor. During this process, Ed spent a significant amount of time with us and we are pleased to continue the dialog and supporting their research.

In discussing BlackRidge’s selection, Dr. Ed Amoroso said, “BlackRidge is one of the most consequential and inventive companies in the cybersecurity industry, and they offer a creative solution for TCP-based authentication that we believe will enhance almost any security architecture. BlackRidge’s identity-based approach to cyber defense is innovative and brings real value to the industry, and we are proud to include the company in our program once again.”
