The webinar will address the market trends and security risks relating to new digital services and connected industrial control systems and discuss the challenge of securing operational technology and other critical infrastructure devices and systems.
Michael Murray, senior vice president and general manager of Cyber Physical Systems at BlackRidge Technology, is the speaker for one of the virtual conference’s three sessions. He will present “A New Approach to Segmenting and Securing the IIoT Ecosystem” and participate in the concluding panel discussion with the other presenters.
“We’re delighted to have TAG Cyber, BlackRidge Technology and National Instruments join us,” said Greg Orloff, IIoT World senior analyst and chief information officer, who will host the webinar. “BlackRidge’s approach to microsegmentation and security policy enforcement using authenticated connections and identity is proving to be an effective way to address many of the problems represented by the convergence of information technology and operational technology networks within the factory. We believe our listeners will find value in Mr. Murray’s discussion of this approach.”
Fellow presenter Edward Amoroso, founder and CEO of TAG Cyber, will address the cyber risk involved in the OT and IT security convergence and the resulting increased consequences of a successful attack. “One-size-fits-all cybersecurity approaches designed for IT are inadequate in today’s enterprise environment,” said Amoroso. “OT systems will need better domain-specific security controls, and identity-based solutions are likely to be part of the answer.”
IIoT World, founded in 2016 by Carolina Rudinschi and Lucian Fogoro, is the first global digital media outlet dedicated entirely to connected industry, the industrial internet of things (IIoT) and Industry 4.0 / industrial control system cybersecurity.
